Creative Notebook Zoom This Saturday!
Reduced price for non-paid subscribers & discount code for paid subscribers
Hi, all!
I’m popping into to remind you that the first session of my Creative Notebook course will take place this Saturday October 19th, 1-3PM Eastern. Paid subscribers can attend for free! If you aren’t a paid subscribers and prefer not to upgrade to paid, you can attend for $20 per session. (I’ve reduced the price, as this is a new, exploratory workshop. Come be my test subject!)
If you are a paid subscriber and plan to come, please either register with the discount code I sent out here (which gets you registered for free) or respond to this email to let me know you’re coming. I will send out the Zoom link later today (Friday).
There’s also still space in the Spectral Traces workshop happening Saturday 11/1, if you’re interested in that one!
Keep reading below for more information about how to prepare for this Saturday’s workshop.
Happy October, and thank you for being here!
Joanna
For those of you who read the first post in the Creative Notebook series, have you been collecting “glimmers”? You can see that prompt in the chat here, and share your responses if you’re a paid subscriber!
Planning to attend Saturday’s workshop? Make sure you’re registered [paid subscribers may also reply to this email], look for the Zoom link in your email later today, and bring the following. (If you can’t gather or locate it all, bring what you can!)
your “glimmers” from the prompt, or any other observations or lines from current or past notebook(s)
scissors
extra paper
a glue stick
a few books you may want to glean lines from
any art materials you may want to use; at the least, something to add color with— watercolors (even an inexpensive set of children’s ones works!); crayons; highlighters; colored pencils; etc.
Such a wonderful time. People shared some truly touching and inspiring thoughts. Raising a mug of coffee to the group.
Wowzers! Thank you so much for sharing so deep + wide. It was a pleasure to spend a morning with you all...even a week later.
I wanted to mention to Anne that there's a neat kids novel called Sweep by Jonathan Auxier that is set in Victorian London and features mud-larking as a subplot!
